If you're painting chinese style you need Maries Mineral Paints. They work with Chinese Ink in that they are granular and bleed through the fibres of the paper with the ink together.
They do NOT leave tidelines as western paints do. They do not fade. 
If you paint Chinese style but dont use Chinese paints you're missing something crucial to the finished works appearance and you cannot bypass that loss.
